Well, I didn't make it to Coachella. However I did have my own version of it here in Vegas over the weekend with the boys. "The boys" being BFF Alex Acuna and his boyfriend Tyler, and Mario Lavandeira aka Perez Hilton. We started off Friday with RICKY MARTIN: ALL IN at The Park Theater at Monte Carlo, beautiful new space. We said hi to Ricky backstage before the show and then headed out to our seats. Show is phenom! Highly recommend. Saturday Mario and I took off for Red Rock to go hiking, however on arrival we found that the gates were closed off. I thought something was wrong but I found out later they were closed due to capacity. Which then led me to think "Red Rock, the Runyon of Vegas." Anyway, once that option was done, we just kept driving and ended up at Bonnie Springs Ranch. Which I had never been to, and ended up being a fun little trip. Complete with a mini train track, old western town, petting zoo and motel / restaurant - it was cute. Just something different. We hit Honey Salt after for late lunch.
Part two of the day started with MAGIC MIKE LIVE at the Hard Rock. They sat the 4 of us in the front row and i do mean the front. Legit got sweated on. However, none of us were complaining. Guys are way hot, and the show itself was actually really fun. I kind of expected one thing and they totally surprised us and had a dope concept. We had to leave Magic Mike early and race to Planet Hollywood for BACKSTREET BOYS: LARGER THAN LIFE (!!!!!). We went backstage before the show to say hi to the guys, all of whom are very nice. The show itself is such a blast. The set, the lighting, the design, setlist, really tops I think I was singing most of the show. The brought Mario on stage and sang to him, which was a cute moment. Towards the end of the show Kevin was in front fo us and stuck the mic in our faces and we jumped at the chance to sing the chorus to EVERYBODY (BACKSTREETS BACK). It was epic. After the show we hit Beauty & Essex for a late dinner while streaming Coachella live on our phones.
Sunday I actually debated driving to Palm Springs for the night for the real Coachella but I was done. I laid low, took a bath, made dinner, and caught up on FEUD on FX. I hope you're watching as it is SO GOOD. Also, closed out the final episode of THE GOOD FIGHT on CBS ALL ACCESS. That is legit my favorite show now next to How To Get Away with Murder. There is so much good TV it's legit overwhelming.
